Requesting a community mailbox address

For the alumni community at Hack Club

Andrei Jiroh will issue you a @alumni.hackclub.community email address following a firstname[.lastname] email username format, similarly to what Hack Club HQ does for Hack Clubbers that are part of different community teams. Currently, you will be only issued this mailbox address if you:

  • are part of the Alumni Society through the private #alums Slack channel and has up-to-date profile in the alums directory
  • does not break the Hack Club Code of Conduct or have any active sanctions by the Moderation and Conduct team (also called as the Fire Department) for misconduct or by the Fraud Department due to reported and valid cases of fraud (i.e. Hackatime fraud, impersonation, or breaking the terms of HCB fiscal sponsorship terms)

Note that there is no Google Cloud Identity organization associated with the Alumni Society for purposes of SAML/OIDC/OAuth2 based SSO authenication for services like Tailscale, so only email domain-based SSO would work (i.e. Doppler). To request one (or manage your existing one), fill out this form.

alumni.hackclub.community Email Usage Policy

Use of @alumni.hackclub.community email addresses should be in accordance with the Hack Club Code of Conduct and Recap Time Squad Community Code of Conduct, alongside Uberspace House Rules. By using your @alumni.hackclub.community address, you agree that you will be representing the alumni community at Hack Club both in personal capacity and as part of the Alumni Society, mainly in open-source communities.

Andrei Jiroh and other Alumni Society maintainers have the ultimate right to disable mail access (or even stop offering this altogether) in cases of abuse and misconduct. If you are administering a mail server and you would like to report email abuse and impersonation, please email the maintainers at society@alumni.hackclub.community (the abuse@ address is an alias to our shared team inbox for compatibility reasons).

For community maintainers and moderators at Recap Time Squad projects

Community maintainers in different projects that we run/host, as well as moderators in community spaces and community members that are considered as Friends of Recap Time Squad, can request a @community.recaptime.dev    email address and use it for community work at Recap Time Squad and the wider open-source communities.

The process for requesting one is currently in the works, so please come back here for updates.
